Sex & The City II

LOVED IT!!! The fashion, the cocktails, the men, NYC, Abu Dhabi - all of it was as fabulous and glamouros as one should expect from Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda. Even though I think the first one is still my favorite, this will not dissapoint any SATC fans. The best part about the night was going out with two of my most favorite ladies, my Mom and Jacqueline. We had a blast sipping Cosmos and gossiping at the pre-party.

The picture on the bottom has an actual umbrella used in the movie made by local designer Bella Umbrellas.

Farewell Food & Wine

 My wedding dress finally came in, so I went to try it on yesterday and its TOO TIGHT! When I ordered it a size smaller than I should of back in January I had this idea that I would drop a size by my wedding - well, it's May and I haven't dropped a size, more like gained a size. Oops. It's time to get serious and lose the 10 pounds that I was planning on by September 11th. The good news is that I work well under pressure, and the fact that I will have to lose the weight in order to wear my dream dress on my wedding should keep me in line for the next 3 months. So, as I head into summer I will be eating lots of veggies, not a lot of wine, and exercising my BUTT off! For those nights when I do want to indulge in some alcohol (like this weekend) I will be going back to my old college diet friendly drink of the HMC (High Maintenance Cocktail):

• Vodka (as much as you want)
• Soda Water
• 1/2 of a freshly squeezed lime
• Splash of Rose's Lime Juice

Fill a large glass with ice, pour in Vodka, Soda Water, lime and Roses and stir. Taste best when aboard a boat.

Thursday is the official release date of Sex and The City 2 and I could not be more exited! I will be attending a pre-party before and have been racking my brain and closet for the PERFECT outfit! So far, I have come up with the following outfit but still working on jewelry - thoughts?

A Whole Lot of Noodles!

Last night Jacqueline came over for dinner and to watch The Real Housewives of New York - I came across this Giada recipe and it was so easy and delicious. I'm always looking for easy pasta recipes with in season vegetables:

As for the Real Housewives, it was all sorts of crazy and I will definitly be keeping last night's episode on my DVR for days when I feel like I am loosing my mind. Here are some highlights.

Time is FLYING!

I have been pretty calm about my wedding planning, thinking that I only had a few loose ends to tie up. Well, tonight I sat down to take a look at my "official" checklist and just about had a panic attack:

• Find fabric for  Flower girl dress
• Book DJ
• Buy wedding gift for Shawn
• Order invitations
• Address invitations
• Mail invitations
• Select misc. attendants (signing table, gifts, etc)
• Buy shoes
• Look into "Day Of" jewelry
• Order dress for Rehearsal Dinner
• Register for wedding gifts
• Wedding ring for Shawn
• Purchase gifts for attendants
• Book/find Makeup artist
• Find/Purchase
• ring pillow
• guest book
• Basket for flower girl
• Find "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a six pence for my shoe" 
• Finalize menu and beverage order
• Make sure groom, groomsmen, ring bearer, and fathers reserve tuxes

This also doesn't include some things I checked off the list tonight, or some of the checks that I need to write :-)
