What a year 2010 has been! I have so many things to be grateful for, far too many to list. Here are just some things that have made me happy this last couple of days.

Seriously Considering

For those of you who are close to us, you know that we are MAJORLY lacking in the furniture department; mostly due to the fact that we purchased our dream home, go engaged, got married, like good wine, the list goes on. So....we are buckling down the hatches (a.k.a. debit card use) and are going to make furnishing our house to make it feel more like a home, a priority in 2011. Here are a couple pieces that are on the radar for a start.

I'm not one to make New Years Revolutions, however this year I am going to set some goals for myself.

• Run a second half marathon
• Try a new recipe every week

13 Days Till Christmas!

All Lit Up!

Tonight we went to visit some of my favorite Christmas Light displays. I have been going to Candy Cane Lane for as long as I can remember – I would LOVE to live in a neighborhood in which everyone was required to decorate! We also took a trip to the Bellevue Botanical Garden D’Lights – this is AMAZING! I highly recommend a trip, it is absolutely gorgeous.

My Family growing up always went to cut down our own Christmas Tree, so as we meld families we are now sharing this tradition with Shawn's side of the family as well. Every year on the day after Thanksgiving we go on the hunt for the PERFECT Christmas Tree (digital story below).

Thanksgiving

Our family has a lot to be thankful for, and this year as we do every other year we go around the table and share just what it is that we are thankful for. It was most definitely a theme shared without that we are all thankful for each other and that our family has grown into one big happy one!

Main Course

Needless to say, no one went home hungry. We shared laughs, watched football, stayed up till 1am watching wedding videos, and ended the night with a sleepover. This was one of my favorite Thanksgivings I can remember.
